Precautions for band saw blades
1. Choosing a high-quality band saw machine and operating and adjusting the machine correctly are the most important factors in ensuring the service life of the band saw blade. Good machine tool rigidity and working performance can prevent vibration and various stresses from having a greater impact on the band saw blade.
2. Choose the correct band saw blade you will use. No one band saw blade can meet all sawing requirements, and band saw blades of different forms and characteristics have different effects. This selection includes appropriate blade width, tooth profile and tooth pitch.
3. Use sawing parameters correctly, including saw belt linear speed, feed amount, saw belt tension, etc. The ideal chips for sawing materials should be tightly rolled, silvery white, and warm to the touch. If there are sintered, brown-blue, coarse or powdery chips, the relevant parameters need to be adjusted.
4. The correct use of cutting fluid and its mixture can lubricate and cool the band saw blade, and promptly remove attachments on the saw teeth.
